Samurai Jack might be coming to the silver screen and word on the street is that J.J. Abrams is going to help make the magic happen.

So May 1st was free comic book day, but did you know that the day before Rhode Island declared April 30th G.I. Joe Day.

Possibly the best mash-up to look forward to, Twilight meets wimpy kid in Diary of a Wimpy Vampire by Tim Collins.

Stay cool by going inside and checking out these conventions: There’s still time to head down to Tampa and check out their comic and toy con going on till 4pm (Sunday). There’s also the DC comic con–Washington DC that is.

Earth Day has come and gone, but you can still help by recycling model kit runners.

Speaking of fabulous, Tim Gunn takes a look at superhero costumes and sees if their wares can measure up to his high-fashion standards.

Recently, pop culture has just begun to recognize how lame Aquaman is, but no one can make fun of the king of the seas quite like Kate Beaton.

If you’ve ever wondered what life is like for a voice actor then you should probably check out the book Voice-Over Voice Actor: What it’s Like Behind the Mic by Yuri Lowenthall and Tara Platt. If you want to talk to them about it then you’ll have to go to Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

At a loss for something to do this weekend? Well there’s the Small Press & Alternative Comics Expo in Columbus, Ohio (24th-25th). For those in the middle of nowhere New York there’s Ithacon (24th).

If the big comic book conventions aren’t your scene then there’s the Atomicon in Huntington, Pennsylvania this Sunday. For something a little less on the down-low, there’s the Anaheim Comic Con Saturday and Sunday.

Rick Remender, Punisher and Fear Agent, sent out a teaser (in more ways than one) Friday. The supposed comics project has been dubbed “Earth Zero” the only other information that’s known is artist Greg Tocchini is in on the action.

Remember the good old days of walking to school, up hill, both ways? Well now you can reminisce about the day when single issue comic books were cheaper. $3.99 is now the most common price for comics.
