Emi Gennis is a cartoonist from Chicago. She has published three issues of her minicomic SPAZ! and expects to finish SPAZ! #4 by Spring 2011.
Her weekly webcomic Owlex began as a drawing exercise but has since taken on a life of its own. She recently posted its 100th strip.
Gennis’ work is known for being semi-autobiographical. However, her current projects have found new inspiration by way of Wikipedia and the many hours she wastes reading it.
She currently lives in Savannah, GA, and is pursuing an M.F.A. in Sequential Art from the Savannah College of Art & Design.
