- San Francisco’s Comic Art Museum is having its 6th annual Comics 4 Comix fundraiser and silent art auction on Tuesday, September 7 at the Punchline Comedy Club. Come to enjoy food, drink, stand-up, and original art by cartoonists Keith Knight, Lynne Johnston, Dan Piraro, and more. All proceeds will go to the museum.
- Ivan Brandon will be at Midtown Comics in New York on Thursday, September 9, from 6:30-7:30pm, signing copies of Weird War Tales #1 and Doc Savage #6.
- The Brooklyn Book Festival is happening this weekend, September 10-12, at Brooklyn Borough Hall and other nearby locations. The Festival will feature two panels about comics, and quite a few excellent cartoonists, including Ben Katchor, Jessica Abel, Matt Madden, Jillian Tamaki, and Josh Neufeld.
- James Sturm will be in D.C. on Friday, signing copies of his new book Market Day at Politics & Prose from 8:00-9:00pm.
