Killing the Grizzly is hoping to raise enough funds for a limited edition run of Ronald Russell Roach’s Armageddonquest. Roach (who these day wrote the book over a 20-year span. It is 900 pages long. Anyone who donates to the project will receive the entire book in PDF format; more generous donors will receive printed copies and other goodies.
John A. Walsh of the webcomic Go Home Paddy was recently interviewed for the Boston Bibliophile’s Graphic Novel Monday.
The delightful (and French) Jerome Genevray was kind enough to point us toward his recent short film Le GreenBoy & The Dirty Girl, the subject of which is “a super-normal-bio-hero” who has his own facebook page.
Ryan Claytor, professor of comics and artist of “And Then One Day” autobiographical comics, continues his summer comics tour. On August 12 from 1:00-4:00pm, he’ll be at Sarge’s Comics in New London, CT.
Nathan Fox will be signing and sketching at Forbidden Planet in New York on August 12. He’ll also be bringing original art and other goodies.
And on Friday, August 13, Forbidden Planet will host Chris Giarrusso, Raina Telgemeier, Grace Randolph, Tim Smith 3, and others for a signing of Reading With Pictures: An All-Ages Comics Anthology. A newly-formed educational non-profit, all proceeds will help promote the use of comics classrooms.
