  • The Philly Alternative Comic Con is returning, and real soon—August 8!
  • The Official R.Crumb Site has announced a new ongoing feature section, Crumb on Crumb. This section will present a collection of interviews and articles on Crumb, written by the man himself.
  • Congratulations to Good Minnesotan #4, a comics anthology by Raighne Hogan which just yesterday passed its kickstarter goal of $1,000! Good Minnesota interviews handfuls of interesting creative types at its blog, Itchy Keen Art Fiends.
  • The Guardian’s Jim Ross recently interviewed underrated comics legend Jim Steranko.
  • Aaron Bir would like to collaborate with you. Keep an eye on his website, on which he is posting three new illustrations per week. If one inspires you, write 200 words about it (prose, poetry, what you will) and send them to Bir, who just might include it in the collection he’s putting together.
  • On Thursday, August 26, Aaron Renier will be at Quimby’s Bookstore, speaking, signing, and celebrating, all in the name of his new book, The Unsinkable Walker Bean.
  • Also, coming to Quimby’s this September (the 18th, at 7:00pm): ZINE ON TOAST.
  • Today marks the 100th update of Liz Baillie’s ongoing webcomic, Freewheel! To celebrate, Baillie is running a week-long 50% off sale on everything in her store. Just enter the coupon code BIG100!
