  • Oni Press is pleased to announce the release of Frenemy of the State #1, the new series by Rashida Jones, Christine Weir, & Nunzio Defilippis, featuring the amazing artwork of Jeff Wamester.
  • Molly Crabapple and John Leavitt have launched The Puppet Makers, a period drama webcomic set in Versailles, France in 1685.
  • Dan Clowes will be signing his new graphic novel, Wilson, at Quimby’s at 7:00 pm on June 12.
  • John Lustig, creator of the webcomic Last Kiss, is paying tribute to the late comics legend Dick Giordano with a special three-week sequence of his Last Kiss webcomic. Instead of his regular one-panel gags, Lustig will feature a multi-episode Last Kiss story that he and Giordano created together, entitled “Widow Miss Muffet.”
  • Today is the day that L’Oie de Cravan launches the new comic Pink Mimi Drink, 84 pages of Diane Obomsawin’s craziest dreams, contained by a beautiful silk-screened cover by Simon Bossé! The book’s opening will be from 5:00 to 7:00 on Wednesday, May 18 at the Le Cheval Blanc brewery in Montreal. There will be live music, and a free beer for anyone who purchases a copy of the book!
  • Richard Poplak stopped by Inkstuds recently to talk about his new book Kenk.
  • This coming weekend brings with it the Maine Comic Arts Festival in Portland, Maine.
