[Above, King Con guest Matthew Loux asks the eternal question. Below, what, what in the Dispatch?]

  • Next week’s King Con in Brooklyn has finally announced its programming. E-I-C Brian Heater is moderating three panels.
  • Go boldly where no Trekie has gone before, New Jersey.  Garden State jokes aside Patrick Stewart is going to be at the bi-annual Chiller Theater convention all weekend along with many other celebs.
  • Check out the “Empire State’s” capital this weekend where the Albany Comic Con will be held on November 1st. Admission is a mere $3 and guests include Joe Sinnott, Joe Staton, and Herb Trimpe.
  • The Comics Alliance reminds us that the real Astro Boy story is way more depressing than the Hollywood movie.
  • Wizard Magazine has helped to encourage consumers to actually read comics, rather than save them in their original plastic wrap, by removing the price guide section. Readers later helped contribute to shutting down the online message board.
  • Agent M gets festive with his pictures on his online blog.
  • Newbie comic book artist, Jean Arrow, will be debuting her work at the Phoenix Comic Con in 2010, but here’s a link to her work.
  • R. Crumb’s Tuesday appearance in Richmond, Virginia has been the talk of the online town of late and the Beat has more.
