  • The first five pages of Brian Wood’s latest Northlanders arc are up now on his Flickr account, fresh off the boat.
  • Nickelodeon has acquired the global rights to all things Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles from Mirage Studios. According to Peter Laird, however, they will continue to publish comics through May 2010 and he retains the right to publish up to 18 TMNT comics a year.
  • Stephen King will take a stab at writing comics for a change with a new series from Vertigo, American Vampire. Hey, Joe Hill, papa’s got a brand new bag.
  • With Astonishing X-Men hitting iTunes today, Joel Johnson says the Apple Tablet will save comic books from, uh, evil.
  • USA Today does a piece on Wildstorm’s North 40 and even has room left over for some interactive pages of Fiona Staples’ art from the first ish.
