  • Bidding for the Marla Bea Benefit Comic Art Auction begins this October 12th. Contributors include Tony Moore, David Mack, and Philip Hester.
  • Electronic Arts and IDW have partnered to form a new independent imprint, handling comics based on their video game properties including Army of Two and Dragon Age. EA Comics: If it’s in the name, it’s in the name.
  • Paul Pope does his best Frank Herbert impression.
  • Johnny Ryan (yes, that Johnny Ryan) will appear at the Fantagraphics Bookstore and Gallery in Seattle this weekend for the opening of his art exhibit and to promote the most exquisite Prison Pit.
  • The long-awaited final issue of Planetary (that’s #27 if you’re keeping count) from your old pals Warren Ellis and John Cassaday is released today. Is this the one with the bald Spider guy who drinks Red Bull and flies around in a giant spaceship?
