- October 3rd and 4th mark a 24 hour day of comics! The Comic Outpost and Mission Comics will be hosting the event in San Francisco. Cartoonists from all over the world will work together to create a 24 page comic in 24 hours, the fun starts at 11am.
- From today through Sunday, the West coasters will have the Long Beach Comic-Con to look forward to. The guest list boasts 150 plus people including Stan Lee and Jim Lee.
- The middle of America shouldn’t be left out of the weekend excitement, Mid-Ohio Con kicks of this Saturday and Sunday. Special guests include Mike Golden and Bernie Wrightson–good times to be had by all.
- For the East coast Abby Denson with be gracing New York City’s 9th Street signing copies of her new graphic novel Dolltopia. She will be at Giant Robot from 6-8pm on Saturday.
- The horror/ western webcomic that won the DC Zuda online competition released its first print volume. You can preview the comic in online form here.
- This week is banned books week, so why not celebrate good old American Freedom by reading whatever you want.
- This month Vertigo is publishing its first House of Mystery Halloween Annual. Here they give us a peek at a few panels to tide us over.
