John Balash graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2001 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Illustration.  He currently works at the Yale University Art Gallery.

Earlier this year, he completed a graphic memoir titled Worker Be, and is currently looking for a publisher for this project. Worker Be is a slice of life story about what it means to be a worker in America, set against the backdrop of retail banality.
