  • The Comic Book Resources brings us a short trailer for “Fall Out Toy Works” from lead singer of Fall Out Boy Pete Wentz. The first issue came out September 2nd and if you’re uncertain about laying down that $3.99 CBR also has a five page preview available.
  • Newsarama speculates on the prospects the Apple Tablet holds for the future of digital comics. The forecast thus far looks partly cloudy with a chance of sun, but who knows.
  • Do you have the wit of Sarah Vowell, the glasses of Tina Fey, and  the smile of Alyson Hannigan? Is there even such a woman? Then try your luck with this sexy comic book single, Brian Heater.
  • Nick Bertozzi gives us a preview of what Kate Chopin’s The Awakening would look like in comic form. Let’s hope needing paid work doesn’t get too much in the way of this potential piece.
  • The Hulk recently wrote the Comics Alliance about Disney buying Marvel. Hulk willing to settle this in a non-violent confrontation?
  • The Museum of American Illustration has an exhibition in the best contemporary art from now till the end of October. The opening reception is on September 11th at 6pm.
  • Duane Swierczynski will be at the Comic Book Club at the People’s Improv Theater in New York City on September 8th, you know, talking about comics and stuff.
