  • Webcomics collective, Act-I-Vate, has released an online preview of one page from each of the 16 stories included in THE Act-I-Vate Primer due this October from IDW Publishing.
  • Richard Stevens is now working double-duty with his new comic best read on smart phones, LOLBots, a spin-off of the old favorite, Diesel Sweeties.
  • Funny Aminals, an interesting anthology brought to you by a considerable group of cartoonists, is set to debut at this year’s Small Press Expo in Bethesda, MD.
  • Harvey Pekar continues his Internet Odyssey on Twitter, in support of SmithMag’s Pekar Project.  The American Splendor creator now joins the ranks of @shitmydadsays and @DoWhatITellYou.
  • The debut of Traverse City, Michigan’s aptly titled Cherry Capital Con (C309, for short) is in full force this weekend and vows to shun video games and pop culture to revolve only around comics and its creators.  Surely, they’ll make an exception for a Carrie Fisher booth.
  • I don’t know what the big deal is; my local comic shop has been doing this kind of thing for years.
