- With the fourth anniversary of Hurricane Katrina approaching, the collected edition of Josh Neufeld’s Webcomic, AD: New Orleans After the Deluge, hits bookstores this week. The book tour starts today at BookPeople in Austin, Texas.
- In NYC today, Bryant Park hosts “Comics: From Every Angle, a special panel devoted to graphic novels as part of their “Word for Word” author series. Speakers this afternoon include Danny Fingeroth, Joe Quesada, Chip Kidd, David Mazzucchelli, and Heidi MacDonald.
- Archie #600, in which Archie finally proposes to Veronica (and not Betty), hits your local comic shop today and newsstands on September 1st. Raven-haired beauties FTW.
- “I read it for the comics.” RM Guera, artist of Scalped, illustrates an Inglorious Basterds tie-in for the latest issue of Playboy.
- NBC has picked up Vertigo’s Midnight, Mass. for a television series. Here’s hoping it gets past that difficult pilot episode hump.
