- Walking Dead TV show idea has been around for a while, but rumors are gaining momentum again since Variety announced that Frank Darabont is near a deal with AMC.
- Cute girls that wear boots and short skirts? I’m there. Red Herring by Phillip Bond, David Tischman, and David Hahn will be out this weekend.
- Going to be in New York this weekend? Dash Shaw, Lisa Hanawalt, and Austin English talk about stuff, and maybe some comics, at Brooklyn’s Union Pool at 2PM.
- The first full issue of Werewolves on the Moon: Versus Vampires is free on the web. I mean if it’s free it can’t hurt to take a peek, right?
- Comics Alliance has counted down the “9 Terrible Comics Starring Real People (and four that are actually awesome)”.
- Hayo Miyazaki’s film Ponyo opens in select theaters this weekend, if you’re not too busy seeing District 9 that is.
- The Cartoon Art Museum presents “Look at me! Autobio Comics Read by their Creators” from 7-9pm on August 21st .
