- It’s time for another “Edge of LA” comic convention in Claremont, California. The conventions take place on the third Saturday of every month, from 10:00-6:00.
- There’s a short video up about this year’s Toronto Comic Arts Festival—so you can pretend you were there.
- Most Cat and Girl strips are now available as fancy-schmancy 11”x17” prints. As good a reason as any to reread the archives.
- The Katy Geissert Civic Center Library in Torrance, California is hosting a presentation on Saturday, May 30 in honor of “Secret Identities,” a new anthology featuring work by 66 Asian American writers and artists about Asian American superheroes.
- Obviously MoCCA is coming up. The weekend of June 6-7, to be precise. Instead of biting your nails as you impatiently count down the days, watch this pretty little film about last year’s festival.
- It’s still not too late to buy the younguns in your life something off of 2008’s “Top 10 Graphic Novels for For Youth” list.
