  • Robert Smigel of Saturday Night Live’s “TV Funhouse” was interviewed this week by The Washington Post.
  • Fart Party’s Julia Wertz was recently featured as a “Broke Ass of the Week.”  She shares insider tips about how to live cheaply in Brooklyn..

  • There’s a short video up about this year’s Toronto Comic Arts Festival—so you can pretend you were there.
  • Most Cat and Girl strips are now available as fancy-schmancy 11”x17” prints.  As good a reason as any to reread the archives.
  • The Katy Geissert Civic Center Library in Torrance, California is hosting a presentation on Saturday, May 30 in honor of “Secret Identities,” a new anthology featuring work by 66 Asian American writers and artists about Asian American superheroes.
  • Obviously MoCCA is coming up.  The weekend of June 6-7, to be precise.  Instead of biting your nails as you impatiently count down the days, watch this pretty little film about last year’s festival.
  • It’s still not too late to buy the younguns in your life something off of 2008’s “Top 10 Graphic Novels for For Youth” list.
