  • Colleen Coover draws those sassy, suspicious characters from the game Clue.
  • As part of the Bryant Park Reading Room Word for Word series on August 19th, THE BEAT’s Heidi MacDonald will be joining the panel “Graphic Novels and Comics from Every Angle,” in addition to Chip Kidd, David Mazzuccheli, with moderation by Danny Fingeroth.
  • Radical Comics has named David Wohl, former president and editor-in-chief of Top Cow Productions, editor-in-chief to replace Dave Elliott, who remains as special projects editor.
  • Tony Millionaire graced the Fantagraphics Bookstore & Gallery with his presence at his exhibit opening and book signing.
  • Coraline gets musical – playing now through June 20 at MCC’s Lucille Lortel Theatre, the musical features lyrics and music by Stephin Merrit, a book by David Greenspan, and is directed by Leigh Silverman.
  • Christopher Irving fires off with talented artist Tim Hamilton on Graphic NYC.
  • Edgar Allan Poe as a secret detective? Boom! Studios has released an avanced preview of its upcoming Poe mini-series, written by J. Barton Mitchell and drawn by Dean Kotz.
