And now, from the Seven Impossible Things Before Breakfast Interview of Geoffrey Hayes,
is the best reply to this question I have ever read:
7-Imp: What is your favorite word?

Hayes: “Little.”

With that answer alone, Mr. Hayes enters a realm of adorableness normally reserved for otters and puppies and kittens and those little fish that look like they’re smiling, but then he goes and draws this:

Wow.  This guy is in his own class of precious!  I bet he’s an amazing cuddler.

I still don’t know what Twitter is, and now there’s “The Twitter Interview?”  Yeesh.

I’m really getting sick of people using the word “the” to make something sound more important.  Let’s either stop using it all together or use it for everything.  Here’s an example of life under both regimes:

No “The:”  ”I have to go to bathroom again.  I shouldn’t have eaten so much of chili at bar.  I may have to go to hospital.”

See?  Not that bad.

All “The:” The Timmy has to use the bathroom to make the poop.  The Timmy shouldn’t have eaten the chili at the bar and now The Timmy may have to go to the hospital.”

Or would it be like this?

“The the the the the poop the the the chili the the the bar the the the the the the the the the hospital.”

Or something like that.  I don’t really know how to write (in case you couldn’t tell). Comic Books Really Do Have Appeal!

Okay, maybe that’s a tasteless headline considering what it links to, but if Batman hasn’t jumped in to help out on this one, then I guess he’s definitely not real, huh?  I owe tons and tons of people money now.
Nerd Up Your Nerd Machine!

It would have been cheaper had this company just made a huge wearable orange neon “Mug Me, I Can’t Fight” sign instead.
And now, a review:
Umbrella Academy #5

This is definitely my favorite comic book written by an emo vampire (sorry, Bendis).  This has really been my surprise favorite series in the last two years though!  Lots of weird stuff, big crazy changes happening to characters left and right and fun interaction between the six super-powered brothers and sisters.  Other comics doing this would maybe annoy me, but I kinda love that I’ve read 11 issues of this and still don’t really understand half of the team’s powers.  But then I generally do love being confused, which is why I still read some DC comics*.  Anyway, Umbrella Academy is FUN confusion!  I will take points off for a plot that is eerily similar to Lost right now**, but the guy writes comics in eye-liner (well, I hope he does)!  That’s adorable!
So that’s it for this week!  I would have written more but I took a vacation to the line at the Brooklyn DMV for a few days.  Just had to get away from all the noise and rage and hysteria for a while (and see some fights).  See you real soon!
*I think “DC” now stands for “Dickishly Confusing,” It was in the news last week or something.
**I promise I won’t mention “Lost” every single week.  Unless you want me to.

Hi there Timmy! Congrats on the new gig! I’m enjoying your articles. I’ll have to try out “Umbrella Academy”. I love the Buffy and Angel comics! Oh, and the Doctor Who books too. Yep, I’m a geek!
