At least that’s what Sarah M. and I have taken to calling him. Nubby was designed for the site by Kevin Cannon, the talented fellow who also created the art for those Daily Cross Hatch shirts (his graphic novel, Far Arden is also out this month on Top Shelf). Nubby’s has been adopted as something of a mascot for the site, so you’ll no doubt be seeing more of him in the future.

He’s also a harbinger of a long-awaited site redesign, which is the result of much code-toiling on the part of Sarah. In all honesty, the previous design overstayed its welcome a bit and was probably a touch too drab to begin with.
