  • American Elf explodes! literally! An electrical short caused an explosion in the building where the servers are housed, knocking out the recently added early strips from the site. Word is the servers were not damaged, but they are being kept shutdown until the FD runs some checks to ensure no more explosions occur.
  • Dark Horse gathers Herbie. The oft overlooked character from the 60s comes storming back when Dark Horse reprints this classic in a chronological, high-quality format for the first time ever.
  • As if you needed reminding, MoCCA is this weekend! Check out the main page for a list of exhibitors, table layout, complete schedule, and the Festival Poster.
  • Speaking of MoCCA, Comic Book Club will have a MoCCA-centric show tonight with the Hatch’s own Brian Heater. Also appearing will be Liz Baillie (My Brain Hurts), and Dave Roman (Teen Boat) for this more than usual “indie-themed” talk. Tickets are just $5!
  • Comics and Blues in one place at one time? You better believe it. Bluesman, a graphic novel by author Rob Vollmar, launches with a celebration of literature and music June 8th at Village Pourhouse.
