Read all about it!! You saw it everywhere else, and you’ll see it here too. Send in your ballots now for the Harvey Awards! Deadline is August 3, this year.

  • Read about comics journalist Douglas Wolk in the Willamette Week. (via Newsarama) Wolk collects a link of recent reviews of Reading Comics.
  • Tom Mclean of Bags and Boards interviews Warren Ellis at San Diego Comic-Con 2007.
  • That Steve Martin interviews that Roz Chast. The very ones!
  • R. Sikoryak illustrates a slideshow performance written by Suzan-Lori Parks. Normally, I don’t bother with events too much, but this event is FREE, and it’s in NYC, which is where I’m jetting off to this weekend! Wheeee…
  • Listen to this Kim Deitch interview, all three heaping earfuls, at Inkstuds.
  • Yay, Shaenon Garrity has put up a big giant preview of Viz’s new edition of Tekkon Kinkreet!!!! I need that!
  • Johanna Draper Carlson at Comics Worth Reading points out a clever idea from Bumperboy creator Debbie Huey: a video allows you to look over the shoulder of someone browsing through her comic.
  • Dan Goldman and Anthony Lappe‘s Shooting War gets a write-up in a UK magazine. And apparently, HEEB magazine is a great place to read about comics—here’s a whole page with reviews of webcomics.
  • While we recover from Comic-Con, we can indulge in the fruits of the MoCCA event. MadInkBeard has posted up reviews of some of his spoils from the event. Good chance to stumble on something new.
