- The WCAX news in Vermont has a really nice series on local cartoonists. Check out the features on the
College of Cartoon StudiesCenter for Cartoon Studies, Alison Bechdel, James Kochalka, and lots more—nine at last count! (via Bechdel’s blog) - Shooting War’s Dan Goldman and Anthony Lappé were interviewed in a Swarthmore college radio show.
- How about a Cartoon Brew round up? They’ve got the Persepolis movie trailer, an animated Calvin and Hobbes courtesy of an Italian dude, a few cartoon-related photos from the archive of Los Angeles photos that UCLA recently debuted to the public (3 Million of them!!), and a Youtube teaser for the Osamu Tezuka exhibit at San Francisco’s Asian Art Museum (June 2-Sept. 9).
- Did I mention you should go see the Osamu Tezuka exhibit?
- Also, the Other Heroes exhibit has been extended to June 30th due to it being a runaway hit! Read all about it in Forbes, the University of Illinois’ News Bureau, the Jackson Free Press, and the Jackson Clarion-Ledger.
