Ken Stringfellow

In which members of the rock community tearfully reveal their geeky comic obsessions, beneath their hardened irony-based exoskeleton.

Who are you? It’s Ken Stringfellow, fool!

You totally be my Myspace friend because:
I be your friend because I is the friend to all mankind.

What are you reading [comic-wise, naturally]?
I’ve been reading Zagor, The Spirit with the Hatchet, the invincible
avenger of Darkwood, but in Serbian. It’s big here in the
ex-Yugoslavian lands.

The comic shop that always makes me late for sound check: I am never late for sound checks…but I live just near Rue Keller in Paris, and the neighborhood is full of shops for Manga and bandes dessin√©es.

This time next year, I hope to be working on the soundtrack to major motion picture adaptation of which comic: In my frightening vision, it would be a 5 hour treatment of Jim Woodring’s Frank series.

Assorted Posies-related comic fun facts:

-While making our first album, Failure in 1987-1988 I was reading Watchmen pretty much the whole time.
-Jon [Auer] used to be quite a collector.
-One day here in Paris I was in a cafe and fell into a conversation with some young women, Americans, and after some time discovered I was talking to Sophie Crumb. She mumbled her last name in an intensely shy fashion. Cute!
